What is BeaBu.com?
BeaBu.com is a website covering finance & investing. See more information about BeaBu.com.
What does the word “BeaBu” mean?
The word “BeaBu” originated as a combination of “bear” and “bull” – two animals representing pessimistic (“bearish”) and optimistic (“bullish”) investors in investing jargon. It reflects the idea that:
- It is not important whether you make money with the market going up (“bullish”) or down (“bearish”), but whether you actually make money or not.
- It is not important whether your opinion about the market’s direction is correct, but whether your position makes money or not (you can make money while being wrong and you can lose money while being right).
- What people actually do in the market is more important than what they say.
You can read this article to understand it better: Are You a Bear or a Bull? Or a BeaBu?
Feel free to pronounce the “Bea” part of the word as in “beer” rathter than in “bear” – it feels more comfortable.
